A+D Auction

The concept behind this postcard was to represent an auction orators quick manner of speaking while also promptly indicating what the card was far. Making it visually interesting was of course also in mind during the brainstorming process. The colors were partially based on a previous save-the-date card that it had to tie into.

The style for the back is also an attempt to hint at a kind of auction/broadside vernacular. I chose not to distress the type or go too far with it though because this was an auction of fine art and not Uncle Bill’s old boots from 1954 (though I suppose it all depends on whether or not those boots are on a pedestal).
